Deepika Padukone learns her way around a rink specially set up at Yash Raj Studios for her role in an upcoming YRF film. She and Neil Nitin Mukesh will be seen skating in Yash Raj Films' untitled next directed by Pradeep Sarkar and both have been training for it.
As there are no skating rinks in Mumbai, and it is too expensive to maintain them in our climate.
A special skating rink has been set up at one of the production floors in Yash Raj Studios (where the film is also being shot).
Starting from scratch A source from the production says, "They are both skaters in the films. While Neil knew how to skate.
And just had to brush up on his skills, for Deepika it was virgin territory and she required a trainer. Being a sports lover, the actress took it up as a challenge.
For the last three months, she has been training with an expert who has been specially hired for her. Initially, she would practise almost two hours every day but now she's gained the confidence she skates for half an hour and can even smoothly skate during the shoot."In Pradeep Sarkar's love story, both Deepika and Neil have extremely challenging roles to play. The film set in the gritty streets of Mumbai. The actress is hesitant to talk about her role, "It's too early to talk about it."
